Loviisa is a vivid and idyllic small town on the south coast. The town was established in 1745 and named after king Adolf Fredrik's wife, queen Lovisa Ulrika. Popular attractions in Loviisa are for example the historical ruins of the town, The Old Town of Loviisa and the Sea Fortress of Svartholma. In the summer tourists and local people meet on the market square and in festivals on Laivasilta.

Stromfors is a part of Loviisa city and there is fewer than 20 kilometers distance between Stromfors and Loviisa centre.
